HONG KONG CHINA INTERNATIONAL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Four years ago, Lau Chi-yung, who suffers from severe hearing impairment, joined the Pegasus Kin Lung youth team through the "Jump Youth Basketball Training Program" and the "Estate Jump!" basketball league organized by the Inspiring Hong Kong Sports Foundation. The coaches and management were deeply moved by this young player's passion. Not only did they provide Lau Chi-yung with professional basketball training, but they also offered him scholarship support to alleviate his financial burden. Due to his hearing impairment, Lau faced significant challenges in both practice and games, requiring the coaches and teammates to learn new ways to communicate with him, often relying on lip-reading.

Through immense patience and continuous learning, the team eventually found an effective way to integrate Lau Chi-yung, allowing him to become a registered player for Pegasus Kin Lung's A1 Division team.
